Happy 4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. We were thinking of Sam's unit who is deployed right now. We are thankful for them and pray for them daily and also the wonderful families of those deployed.
We had a pretty good day. We hiked about 8 1/2 miles. I'm still adjusting, everything is sore or hurts. We are having lots of fun but it's not always smiles and happiness just to keep it real. I think at one point we all cried...except Sam. Sometimes your are just so exhausted that the tears just flow. Then in a few minutes you are fine. At one point Mayson said it was the worst 4th of July ever because we weren't going to get to see fireworks and we weren't able to do a campfire. But the night ended with giggles and glow sticks that I surprised them with so they had a little something special.
The pic of Mayson frowning is because Sam bought generic nutella so we named it "FauxTella."
