Randoms

Mayson's school had a Christmas program. She was an angel....well at least that's what she was dressed up as. She was a little bit active during the program. She only pulled her dress up once but her and her friend Micah (or as his mom called them "partners in crime" ) had trouble sitting still. As you can see in the pictures below Mayson is not in the same place twice.
There was a cookie and punch reception afterwards. We sat with her friend Daniel and his family. His older brother Erik came to Mayson's birthday party as well and he wanted to have his picture made Mayson and I, it was sweet.

At Sam's work Christmas party we won tickets to a Hawks game. The seats were on the lower level and were really good. It was nice to have a night out and do something fun.

When I was little my brother put me in the clothes dryer got in and shut the door, much to my dismay. My mom was running all over the house to figure out where the screams were coming from. Trey was the initiator of this dryer event and shut the door on Mayson!

Indoor snow storm
We were emptying the shredder and decided to let the kids play. They had a ball. I was trying to be the fun mom even though my instincts said this is going to be a mess. Well I was right but it was worth the fun I guess. I almost destroyed my vacuum though. If I were to do it again (highly unlikely) I would not do it on the carpet, it would have been easier to sweep up.

Some random pics: We went to Cole's baptism Thanksgiving weekend--Mayson and Melly at the baptism, Cole and Jaime afterwards, family pic before.
Mayson on the scooter she got for her birthday, Mayson eating sushi w/ Daddy.
Putting up our tabletop tree w/ dollar store ornaments b/c Trey would have pulled down our big one and destroyed it.

She was pleased with her cake

Birthday Weekend

We went to Build-a-Bear for the first time on Mayson's birthday. She choose to make Frosty. She loves to sing Frosty the Snowman and watch the video over and over this time of year.

Mayson's loot just from her birthday party. I don't think Santa needs to come with all this stuff!

We went to the Mexican resturant after church. Mayson was thrilled with the ice cream they had. She is so excited to open presents, you would think she didn't have any toys.

there was some nice weather so we went to the park

Birthday Party

Mayson turned three on Nov 22 (yeah I know I'm a little behind on my blogging) we had a party the Friday before at JumpToons ( an inflatable place close to our house) Several of her friends from school and the neighborhood came. She was so excited and appreciative. She said "I love my party Mommy" it made all the headaches and hassles worthwhile
tons of fun

Halloween

Mayson was so excited about Halloween. She decided back in August that she wanted to be a witch and picked out her costume.

Before Trick-or-treating we stopped by my friend Christine's so she could see the kids. This ended up being the only pics I really got of them in their costumes. I kept saying I was going to dress them back up to get pictures but it is 3 days before Thanksgiving and I haven't so I guess I will give that up.

We thought Trey would be a funny penguin since he waddles around

Halloween night~ because it was such yucky weather, cold and rainy I didn't get many good pictures. The one of me and kids is blurry but it is the only one I got. The group is all the kids from the neighborhood. Mayson and her friend Lilly were happy to see each other, Mayson kept telling my mom "Lilly was a care bear". Our night ended with a 2 am visit to the ER with Mayson. She had recently had croup and it had a reoccurance in the middle of the night. It was the worse she has ever had it. She was struggling to breathe. We are all better now!!

The church where Mayson goes to preschool had a festival for preschool age kids. They were supposed to have bouncy houses and stuff but it had to be moved inside.

This is Mayson and her friend River. They are so funny together.

I helped out with the Fall Party for Mayson's class. It was neat to see her in her classroom. I didn't post pictures of the other kids b/c I didn't have their parent's ok.

Halloween time....

Daddy and Mayson had fun carving our pumpkin this year. Mayson and Mrs. Elaine made me a pound cake for my birthday, Mayson was so proud of it.

For some reason slugs invaded our pumpkins this year. It kinda grossed me out, They came out every night, I guess since we have had such a damp weather. Sam said it gave our Jack-o-lanterns an extra scary edge.

My little monkey...actually my second little monkey

Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain

A couple weeks ago we had tickets to Stone Mountain so we went to check out the Pumpkin Fest. Of course it was the coldest weekend we had so far, but we still had a good time.
Our freezing ride on the train, the petting zoo, "three little pigs"

Mayson kept pulling out a piece of paper and telling us where we were on the "map", it was funny she would just stop and say "let me show you where we are". Finally we got her a real map.

My sweet boy. (since this picture Daddy chopped his hair off :( so this pic makes me a little sad)

They had a huge indoor play place w/ slides that go down 4 stories, rope ladders through out and air cannon that shot balls out. We purposely saved this for last b/c we knew Mayson would never leave. It is like Heaven on earth for a kid. ( I realized I put the picture of Sam and Mayson petting the goat in two different collages...oops)

Party in the USA

Mayson's favorite song is "Party in the USA" by Mylie Cyrus. We dance to it a couple times a day, we even got Daddy participating. I guess Trey has learned the words and dance moves because he started joining in today. For those who don't know the song the chorus says "So I put my hands up...." Mayson normally dances and sings but today she was doing some crazy spin move. Trey was too funny for me to not post it.

Babyland General

Since we were in North Georgia at the pumpkin patch we decided to drive about 40 minutes to Babyland General "Where Cabbage Patch Kids are born" I've thought of taking Mayson before but I had seen pictures of my Aunt and cousin going w/ her daughter so it reminded me. Since we were pretty close we headed over. Mayson was excited...but I have to admit I think I was more excited than her. I was like a little kid. We all had fun...well I guess you would have to ask Sam if he had fun or not.

People have always said Trey looked like a cabbage patch kid since he was a tiny baby. It's funny random people in the store have stopped me to tell me this.

Mayson's first Cabbage Patch baby

Giving her baby a bottle after we got home. She even slept with her and put Ducky to the side...this is a major event, I felt sorry for Ducky :(

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we took a trip to Burt's Farm, a pumpkin patch in North Georgia. We went there 2 years ago with Mayson. They have HUGE pumpkins, I saw one that was $100!!! We planned on going on the hayride that takes you on a scenic view of the forest and Amicalola falls but it was just too cold. Plus we are all getting over colds. Mayson loved exploring through the pumpkins. I mainly just saw the back of her head in her winter coat.

Picture of Mayson in 2007 and Trey 2009. Notice the difference in attire. Mayson has a tanktop on Trey two shirts and a winter hat. Got to love the unpredictable weather here.

We got one decent family picture
(**editorial note**that is Trey's foot sticking out the bottom of Sam's jacket..incase you were wondering)

We got one family picture out of the day
