We went up to Michigian for several days the weekend of Mother's Day and our 6th year anniversary...which this year happened to be the same day...We had a great time and Sam and I even got away for a night. We drove a couple hours north to where his family has some land and a cabin his great grandfather built. We rented a cabin on a lake for the night. Mayson enjoyed playing with her cousin Nathaniel and all the attention she got from her Nana and Poppie.

Road Trip
These pictures are a little misleading because it shows a happy traveller. We thought we would be smart and drive up at night, right before Mayson's bedtime that way she would sleep most of the 12 hour trip up to Michigan....Yeah right....She finally fell asleep at 10:50 pm and slept until 11:39. Then she would sleep for 2 minutes and scream for 5. Finally at 1 am we stopped and searched for a hotel that will take dogs. We end up in downtown Louisville. Mayson was the perfect angel once she got out of her seat, except now she was wired and raring to go. We tried to put her in the crib at the hotel....not having that. So we let her run around the hotel room while we rested. I was finally able to rock her to sleep at about 3am. Guess what? Her internal alarm clock was still working at 6:45. But she was miserable. So Sam jumped in the shower saying we might as well go (we still had 6 more hours in the car) but I (who was at my wits end) was able to rock her to sleep in bed w/ me. She slept another hour and a half and then we left.
Sidenote....she was really great on the way home, only a few minor crying spells. I guess she is just a better day traveller.

Random April Pictures
SORRY it has been so long since I posted. We had a computer crash...with all my pictures on it. I hadn't backed up my pictures since last May!!! Fortunately most of them were on snapfish, I only lost a few forever. I've had to click each individual picture to save it to my computer, quite time consuming. I will try to catch you up on the last month or so.
