June Happenings...

Yeah I know it's almost September...(hard to believe) so I thought I better try and catch up a little on the blog. Everytime I say that seems like I fall more behind :) Here's what we were up to in June
Having some fun on Lake Lanier w/ Aunt Becky, Amy and Michael

We went a few miles up the road to hang out at Allatoona Lake for the day
chillin eating a cheese roll up (wearing Mayson's hat)

Mayson trying out her career option as a lifeguard

Keeping an eye out

silly kids

Trey singing Justin Bieber's "Baby, baby oh" song. Seriously he would sing that song. Our little neighbor Madison was staying with is for a night and Trey kept putting her glasses on so we put one of Sam's hat's on him to make him look more Pop Starish.

Our little fish

loves to wear Daddy's hats

Fell asleep eating a ring pop, he would swap between the ring pop and the paci

Trying to do some indoor activities since it has been so hot

Mayson has become buddies with Sam's coworker Mary's daughter Amirah. This particular day they were attached at the hip.

Zumbathon

My friend Claudia and I participated in a Zumbathon to benefit breast cancer research, it was 80's themed. For those who don't know what Zumba is...it's a latin inspired dance and exercise class. It's lots of fun. We did 3 hrs this night...it was quite the workout! Claudia's sister Debbie was recently diagnosed with breast cancer so keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Memorial Day Camping Trip

We met our friend Aaron and Tammy and went camping in South Carolina for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time even though it rained about 60% of the time. We rented a boat but didn't get to use it as much as we had hoped because of the weather. We had fun anyway!

our campsite

this tree had a huge vine wrapped all the way up to the top

I thought this picture was sweet

A resturant where we ate. I loved the name. It also had a huge train table inside for the kids to play on.

This is one of those things that is going to come back to bite me later, but since it was raining so much I told Mayson she needed to east some Sunchips to make the sun come out. Of course right after she ate some it quite raining. She thought it was because of her. When it would start raining she would say "We need sunchips"

One of my least favorite things about camping is the critters. Here are a few we saw. Mayson is holding a tiny frog, a big moth and beatle, and the one on the leaf....we are not sure what it is. It looked like an alien creature, a tiny snake like thing with one eye on top it also hissed at us.
Plus there were many more not picutred.

As you can see Mayson adored Tammy

Tammy and I got to take a boat ride to return the boat and enjoy a tiny bit of sun, of course the sun came out as we were having to take the boat back.

This was typical of our weekend. When we got out on the water or in the boat it was start pouring rain

Trey not happy about his collision with the ground. I think he had dirt on his tongue

Trey could not leave Jenna's water bowl alone

I had to get a picture of this b/c Mayson slept til almost 10 this morning which is so unusual that Sam and I kept checking on her.

Trey Tubing

Mayson tubing

Jenna eating corn on the cob. Mayson was having trouble sharing the camera time.

Mayson was helping Sam cut a piece of wood. This just made me laugh.

Augusta

Sam spent the week before Memorial Day at the drop zone at a base in Augusta (where they practice dropping stuff from the plane.) We were meeting some friends to go camping for Memorial Day weekend nearby, so at the end of the week the kids and I headed to Augusta. We go to see the planes fly over and drop the bundles. We had fun seeing a part of what Daddy does.

Trey loved watching the trucks and equipment

this was a cool scene but my camera couldn't quite capture it. The moon was a beautiful orange color and there was water spicket with water dripping

They have day drops and night drops and we got to see both. I got a few pictures looking through the night vison googles.

looking at the moon

I thought this picture was scary looking. We forgot to turn the flash on the camera off and it made our eyes look weird

Daddy and Mayson

Mayson enjoyed the glow sticks attached to the bundles that they dropped.
